Show Plates for Off-Road Bikes
Trials and motocross bikes are off-road machines, so their plates are show / display plates — they are not road legal and are not made to BS AU 145e. If you ride a road-registered bike on the road, you'll need proper road-legal plates for that.
We produce standard motorbike show plates in a range of sizes. Enter any number or text, choose your plate size and character style (flat, 3D gel or 4D), and we'll make it up and dispatch it fast — no documents needed.

Trials Bike & Motocross Plate FAQs
Can I use a trials bike plate on the road?
No. Trials bike and motocross competition plates are not manufactured to the BS AU 145e standard and are not road legal. Using one on a road-registered motorcycle is an offence under the Road Vehicles (Display of Registration Marks) Regulations 2001. If you ride a road-registered motorcycle that you also use off-road (e.g. an enduro bike with road registration), you’ll need proper BS AU 145e compliant road plates for road use.
Do I need to provide ID to order competition plates?
No. Competition plates are not road-legal number plates and are not covered by the Road Vehicles (Display of Registration Marks) Regulations — so there is no legal requirement to provide proof of identity or entitlement. You simply order the specification you need.
My event is in two weeks — can you turn around plates quickly?
In most cases, yes. Competition plates don’t require document verification, so we can move straight to production. Standard orders are typically despatched within 1–3 working days. If you have an urgent deadline, give us a call on 0330 024 9273 and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
